Protecting Families and Children in Huntersville
The safety of our families and children must always come first. As a mother, neighbor, and long-time member of the Huntersville community, I know that protecting our kids means taking action where it matters most—at school and in our neighborhoods.
- School Resource Officers (SROs): Every parent deserves peace of mind knowing their children are safe at school. I will advocate for a School Resource Officer in every school by partnering with CMS and Mecklenburg County to ensure we have the funding and staffing needed. SROs don’t just provide security—they also build relationships with students and serve as trusted mentors.
- Keeping Drugs Out of Schools: We cannot allow dangerous drugs to threaten our children’s future. I will work closely with law enforcement to strengthen prevention programs, expand education for students and parents, and support proactive policing strategies that keep drugs out of our schools and neighborhoods.
- A Community Commitment: Protecting families isn’t just about policy—it’s about priorities. As your Town Commissioner, I will make sure public safety remains at the top of every discussion. Our children deserve to grow up in a community where they are safe, supported, and given every opportunity to thrive.

Backing Law Enforcement
Our police officers put their lives on the line every day to protect Huntersville. They deserve our respect, our gratitude, and the resources to do their jobs effectively. As Town Commissioner, I will:
- Fully Support HPD: Stand behind the Huntersville Police Department as a strong advocate for staffing, training, equipment, and fair pay.
- Provide Tools to Fight Crime: Ensure officers have the modern technology, vehicles, and protective gear they need to keep our community safe.
- Partner for Safety: Work with law enforcement and the community to strengthen neighborhood policing, deter crime before it happens, and respond quickly when it does.

Responsible Growth:
Growth is a part of Huntersville’s future, but it must be smart, balanced, and aligned with what’s best for our families. I believe development should only move forward when our roads, schools, and utilities can support it. That means requiring strong impact studies before approval, holding developers accountable to help fund the roads and sidewalks their projects require, and ensuring residents—not just developers—have a voice in the process. As Town Commissioner, I will work to make sure growth enhances our community and protects the quality of life that makes Huntersville home.
Transparency and Accountability:
Good government starts with honesty. Too often, decisions are made without keeping residents fully informed. As Town Commissioner, I will change that by making transparency a top priority. Families deserve to know what’s happening before decisions are made—not after. I will push for open communication, clear explanations of growth and spending decisions, and more opportunities for residents to have a voice in the process. Huntersville deserves leadership that listens and keeps its citizens informed every step of the way.
